Description
This class is open to those who have taken the courses Creating Songs parts 1 through 4 with Cornell.
In this installment of the Native Flute Player’s Music Workshop, we’ll continue to look at “scene painting” through music and look at techniques to further develop melody.
- Continue our work of setting a scene through music
- Explore new ways to work with our thematic and melodic material
- Draw upon previous work with perspective, texture, and mood/emotion
- Organize smaller musical ideas to create a larger work
Some experience with notation, tablature and number systems will be helpful for this class. Native flutes and other world flute traditions are welcome.
