Description
This class is open to those who have taken the courses Creating Songs parts 1 through 4 with Cornell and have participated in previous Tuesday evening sessions. In this installment of the NAF Creative Workshop, we’ll explore scene-painting with music using photographic images as inspiration.
- Finding musical inspiration from images
- Looking at contrasts and continuity in images and finding ways to express that musically
- Creative inspiration for our songs
- Draw upon previous work with perspective, texture, mood/emotion and scene painting
Some experience with notation, tablature and number systems will be helpful for this class. Native flutes and other world flute traditions are welcome.
