For experienced players and songwriters who have completed Creating Songs levels 1-4 with Cornell and have been part of previous Friday afternoon sessions.
In this installment of the Native Flute Player’s Music Workshop, we’ll look further into creating music for solo flute, multiple flutes, or flute combined with other instruments. Our focus this semester will be on genres of improvisatory rhythmic music with roots in 19th and 20th Century North, Central and South America, such as blues, calypso and others.
Some experience with notation, tablature and number systems will be helpful for this class. Native flutes and other world flute traditions are welcome.
2:00-3:30pm US Central Time. Advance registration is required.
