This is a wonderful opportunity in a beautiful location for players of all levels to spend a week learning with some of the finest facilitators and teachers in the nation. Presenters include Betina Lindsay, Clint Goss, Vera Shanov, Cornell Kinderknecht, Rona Yellowrobe, Joe Young and others. The venue for the school will Cable Mountain Lodge in Springdale, Utah.

In this installment of the Native Flute Player’s Music Workshop, we’ll look deeper into harmonic structure in melody, using photography as inspiration.
Some experience with notation, tablature and number systems will be helpful for this class. Native flutes and other world flute traditions are welcome.

In each of the sessions, we’ll look at a style of music or style of playing on Native flute, using three new songs. You’ll receive the sheet music, with NAF TAB and finger diagrams, for a total of nine songs you’ll receive throughout the entire 3-week series. We’ll look at the stylistic characteristics and structure, add stylistic embellishments, and discuss tips for playing in the style.
