About this class:
In this four-session course we will explore aspects of this
beautiful, haunting, meditative, exciting instrument and its music,
♦ Basic scale patterns and techniques
♦ Special effects and extended skills
♦ Creating your own music
♦ History and culture of the Native flute
Previous musical experience is NOT required.
A high-quality Native American flute
will be available for each student *
Course fee: $140
* Additional material cost of $60 for a Native American
flute for those that need one (the flute is yours to keep). If

Instuctor: Cornell Kinderknecht
is an award-winning World Flutes
performing and recording artist as well as a teacher. In addition to
his own solo albums, his work can be heard on numerous other artists'
recordings across many genres. He has a private studio of flute
students in Dallas and is in demand as a performer and presenter at
music workshops and festivals around the US. With his expertise, he
provides practical interactive instruction while his light-hearted
approach puts students at ease. Cornell is an Indian Summer Music
Awards winner, an early rounds Grammy nominee and has twice been a
Texas Music Awards nominee. He is currently the Director of the
Pacific Northwest Native American Flute Gathering and serves on the
Board of Directors of the United States Ocarina Association.
